A very wicked woman in Kano State locked her step-children in a room in their apartment, hoping that they’d all die of starvation. The woman who is married to the children’s father, allegedly locked the kids immediately after their father traveled out of the state for business. The 3 kids were rescued after some of their neighbors got to know about the incident. The Kano State Police Command has already stepped into the case.

Chromatic Scale – The Ultimate Pitching Exercise Challenge! Chromatic Scales  can be deemed as one of the most challenging musical scales, and are also great pitching exercises for budding singers to practise with!     The reason why they are so challenging is because when we sing this scale, we are effectively singing  all the notes on the piano, black and white keys included ! This means that we are  singing in semitones , and this is extremely beneficial to our pitching and hearing ability, because we would then be able to pitch and also detect smaller variations in pitch! If we write the chromatic scale out in solfege, it would look like this: 1 (Doh), 1# (Di), 2 (Re), 2# (Ri), 3 (Mi), 4 (Fa), 4# (Fi), 5 (Sol) 5# (Si), 6 (La), 6# (Li), 7 (Ti), 1 (High Doh) One point to note:  Each sharp note has its equivalent name in ‘flats’ . The Federal University of Technology Minna , Niger State, has been thrown into mourning following the killing of a female postgraduate student in the school , Bolatito Ajuola, by a man suspected to be her fiancée. It was learnt that Ajuola , a student of Science Education , was allegedly stabbed to death at about 11pm on Monday at her off -campus residence. Eyewitnesses said the man , Best Origboshe , was a worker in a company owned by the victim’ s father in Ondo State, when the duo began a romantic affair. However, Origboshe was said to have lost his job, resulting in Ajuola asking him to join her in Minna. It was learnt that on Monday , Origboshe and Ajuola had returned from shopping when the victim prepared dinner and set the table for them to eat. Northern City News gathered that Origboshe was reluctant to eat the meal , claiming that it was too hot when Ajuola queried him for shunning her food.  A school bus full of students swerved off a steep road in Tanzania on Saturday morning and fell into a ravine, killing 36 people — 33 of them children, authorities said. The fatal crash happened in city of Arusha in Tanzania’s northern Karatu District, on the edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.  “The place where it happened is a hill, with a steep slope, and it was raining when the accident happened,” Aruba Police Commander Charles Mkumbo said. Mkumbo added investigators were still trying to determine exactly what caused the bus to leave the road. “We don’t know if the driver was new or if there was a mechanical defect,” he said. CNN reported that the bus driver and two teachers on board, were also killed in the crash. Two of the students survived but were critically injured.The primary school students, aged between 12 and 13 years old, were on their way to another school to take an exam.
